Parochial and Plain Sermons
Dive deep into Newman's Parochial and Plain Sermons as we trace his richly layered theology of resurrection, hope, and joy.
Six Tuesdays in Eastertide · April 7 – May 12, 2026 · via Zoom
Easter is the biggest feast season of the year, when Christians celebrate Christ's conquering sin and death in his Resurrection. Join us this Easter season for a six-part reading group. This year, we will reflect on six of Newman's Parochial and Plain Sermons, all of which center upon themes of hope, joy, and resurrection.
We will meet six consecutive Tuesdays in the Easter season via Zoom to prayerfully discuss some of Newman's most beautiful writings. These sessions are free and open to the public, though registration is required. Texts will be emailed prior to each session.
